Big hits from both teams start off this game as each teams wants to establish some dominance against the other side. Evenly balanced with the scores, the game is all about the side out points, until 13-13 when the AIS creep away from the Blues to extend the scoreline to 16-13. Steven on the outside with the kill off the block side outs for the Blues. Stevens gets the next point too for the Blues with a block on Smith to get back to within 1 point 15-16. Two plays later, Smith returns the favour to Stevens roofing him, point AIS. AIS up 19-16.
AIS streak out to set point, 24-19. Lowe with an easy roll over the net to take the set for AIS 25-19.

Thwaites punishes teh overpass, nearly taking off Whitburn's head in the process, AIS out to a 4-2 lead. Bhachi with a well-timed tip, the blockers on their way down, he pops it over their heads, 3-4 Uni Blues. Thwaite through the middle, killing the ball. Through the Leathart serve, AIS out to 7-4. Stevens from 4, goes down the line, Smith shenks it, 6-8 Uni Blues.
Peacock on for Leathart. The scroes are tied at 10-10. A big roof from Smith on Stevens, NICE! Whitburn with the quick out to Bhachi, who goes down the line, 13-14 Uni Bleues. Peacock takes a piece of the antenna, 14-all. Time out called by AIS at 15-15 down.
Four hits called on Uni Blues, they're not happy with the call, both sides with some great ups in that rally to keep the ball alive, 15-15. Lowe is all cord, the scores are back to even, 17-17. Stevens with the firepower from the outside, 18-all. Smith read the setters dump from Whitburn well, he puts it away. Welsh comes into the game for AIS. 20-19 AIS. Lowe replaces Welsh. Valena finds the gap and puts the winner across court, 20-21 The Blues. The quick from Younf to Thwaite through the middle is perfect, 22-20 AIS. Smith finds the seam of Morley, AIS 23-21. Thwaite into the net to even the score again, 23-23. Service error Valena brings up set point for AIS, 24-23. Bhachi goes for the winner but he is shut down but Young, Bhachi not happy with himself...AT ALL...Young however is ecstatic. AIS take the set 25-23.

AIS - Thwaite, Peacock, Smilth, Clewes, Lowe, Young, Borgeaud (L)
Blues - Whitburn, Stevens, Weimann, Morley, Valena, Bhachi, Helfrich (L)
AIS take the early lead. Thwaite pushes the ball back over the net for an easy point, 6-2. The serve left by Helfrich, good choice, 7-9 Uni Blues. Uni Blues given a warning for throwing the ball away after losing a point, the teams are firing up, but AIS still maintain the lead, 11-8. Young gain takes on Bhachi and gets the kill block, 13-9 AIS. Valena with serve at , 11-14, but AIS sideout straight away. The towel has been getting a good workout in this match. Bhachi runs the pipe and gets the ball throug the block, at time out AIS at 15-13.
Nicholas Borgeaud comes off the bench. Stevens fires the cross court to get Uni Blues back to 14-17. Borgeaud off for Lowe. Smith swings...he scores...its 18-14 AIS. Valena has stepped it up this set, he gets a great block, 16-18 Uni Blues. Morley and Valena double team to block out Smith, 17-21 Uni Blues. Whitburn sends the ball into the roof, 22-17 AIS. Barry on for Young. 22-18 AIS. Barry heads back to the pig pen. Morley with serve at 19-22, Thwaite combines with Young to fire the ball through the middle, 23-19.
Time out called by AIS, 23-21. Lowe sends the ball long, 22-23 Uni Blues. Bhachi finds the open middle court, 23-23. Winzar replaces Clewes. Set and match point AIS, Young with a jump float, AIS take the set 25-23 and the match 3:0.
