Press Release - VVI General Manager Resigns

To the Volleyball Associations and Stakeholders

After a fantastic 2 years with VVI, it is with great sadness that I announce that Mahamoud Fahour has tendered his resignation.  Mahamoud will  leave VVI as its General Manager in about one month, but will continue to remain involved in volleyball and provide assistance to the Board as required.

The past 2 years have probably been the toughest for VVI and Mahamoud has had a significant impact in turning the organization around financially and attracting a number of new sponsors in the process.    He has played a significant role in the renegotiation of the State Volleyball Centre Agreement ensuring  that volleyball is much better placed for the future.

The Board will be meeting this  week to discuss the process for replacing Mahamoud and will keep Associations and Stakeholders advised of our plans.
