Volleyball Australia is excited to announce it has signed a partnership agreement with one of Asia’s most experienced sports equipment companies.

The agreement comes on the eve of one of the biggest years in Australian Indoor Volleyball history.

Grand Sport, a Thai-based company that has been clothing some of Asia’s leading sports teams for more than 50 years, will provide playing strips for both the Australian men’s and women’s indoor teams.

Grand Sport was first established in Thailand in 1961, and has provided products for many national Asian Olympic committees and Football Associations.

The Volleyroos are set for an exciting 2015, with the men having qualified to play in the top division of the World League, and the women hosting the final in their division of the Grand Prix.

The Australian men’s team is ranked in the world top 15, while the women began 2014 year rated 100th in the world, but finished in the top 50.

Volleyroos announce new men's coach

Volleyball Australia is excited to announce it has signed one of Europe’s most successful coaches to lead the men’s national team, the ‘Volleyroos’, in its bid to qualify for Rio 2016.

Italian Roberto Santilli, who was an Italian Federation coach for four years, takes over at the helm of the Volleyroos on the eve of the team’s most challenging season ever.

Volleyroos Women Prepare for International Season

The Volleyroos Women's Team are holding their first training camp for the year this weekend in Melbourne.

Being held at Dandenong Sports Center (Friday) and Mazenod College (Sat & Sun), the camp will host 25 of the best players currently in Australia, with some of our Overseas athletes unable to attend due to Club/University commitments.

Volleyball Australia Limited is the peak body for the administration of the sport of volleyball in Australia. The objects for which the Company is established and maintained are to:

  • conduct, encourage, promote, advance, standardise, control and administer all forms of the sport of volleyball in and throughout Australia as a human endeavour;

  • provide for the conduct, encouragement, promotion and administration of the sport of volleyball through and by various Member States or other organisations for the mutual and collective benefit of the Members and the sport of volleyball;

  • act in good faith and loyalty to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of the Company and volleyball, its standards, quality and reputation for the collective and mutual benefit of the Members and the sport of volleyball;

  • at all times operate with, and promote, mutual trust and confidence between the Company and the Members in pursuit of these objects;

  • at all times to act on behalf of, and in the interests of, the Members and the sport of volleyball;

  • promote the economic and sporting success, strength and stability of the Company and each Member State and to act interdependently with each Member State in pursuit of these objects.
