Abu Dhabi International Invitational Tournament

Volleyball Team Australia Women will be participation in the 1st Abu Dhabi International Invitational Tournament, from the 20th-28th of May 2008.

The team boasts 1 Olympian and 2 World Championship players, and sees the inclusion of 2 of our senior women's players currently on US College Scholarships. Amanda Fielding will again guide the team after her appointment as Head Coach last year. "This is an exciting mix of athletes that we have selected, and while it will be a tough tournament, facing the likes of Cuba, Italy and Russia with little preparation as a whole group, this is a fantastic opportunity for the Senior Women's and one that we are all looking forward to."

Australia will compete in Pool A against Italy, Holland, Egypt and Algeria, while Pool B boasts Russia, Cuba, Germany, Azerbaijan, France.
