Volleyball Australia Board of Management

| President: The Hon. Chris Schacht Sen. The Hon. Chris Schacht has been a member of the AVF Board since April 1996 and President of Volleyball Australia since December 1997. An individual with a driving passion for the advancement of volleyball not only in this country but worldwide, Chris is constantly striving to improve the sport. He is a member of the FIVB Legal Commission, an Executive Board Member of the AVC and Vice President of the Oceania Volleyball Zone of the AVC. He has represented Australia at the 1998, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 World Congress.

| Vice President: Rosemary Bissett Rosemary is Group Manager, Sustainable Business Practices with the National Australia Bank. She has served on the AVF Board since 2006. Rosemary is Vice President of the Melbourne University Renegades Volleyball Club and has involvement in with the Australian Volleyball League through University Blues – a partnership with Monash University Volleyball Club.

| Finance Director: Riad Tayeh A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia Riad has been the AVF Finance Director since 1999. He is a member of both the FIVB Finance Commission and AVC Finance Commission

| Director: Phil Muller Phil Muller has been involved in Volleyball at all levels of the game within Queensland and Australia, more recently as a Board member for Volleyball Queensland and Chair of the Australian Volleyball Schools Event Commission. Currently Phil is employed by Queensland Department of Education and Training and is the Acting Manager for the DETA Sports Unit and is the Executive Officer of the Queensland School Sport Foundation. Phil was elected to the Board in 2009.

| Director: Shane Hennessy A former President of Volleyball South Australia with a passion for good governance Shane was elected to the AVF Board in 2007. He is a life member of Volleyball SA and has been awarded an Australian Sports Medal and AVF Distinguished Service Award

| Director: Jonathan Fogarty Elected to the Board in 2009, Jonathan has been involved in the sport of Volleyball for 25 years as a player, coach, administrator and commentator. In his professional life Jonathan works in the field of I.T Systems consultancy and has worked for the last 15 years with large multinationals both in Australia and overseas on business improvement initiatives. He has been a trusted advisor to large corporates such as Rio Tinto, Telstra, National Australia Bank and Queensland Rail.

| Secretary General (ex officio): Joan Perry - AVF Chief Executive Officer Joan was appointed CEO in 2007 after 12 years as CEO of ACTSPORT, the lobby group for sport in the ACT. She has formal qualifications including a Bachelor of Business and a Masters in Sport Management. She has served on several government and sport boards and has strong skills in strategic management, sponsorship, marketing and communication
